Same with the Philippines I think. The elite here will not see their interests threatened as everyone can have their current share of the pie. But by unleashing the creativity and initiative of our local peoples the pie will/can increase and from this increase the new system will entrench itself. The elite can sense that our socio-political-economic situation is about to break. We need to begin to move to the alternative. One inch is fine, based on the China experience for what was relevant to them at their point of crisis.
